Job Description:
Be part of a fast-growing, innovative company with the longest-standing historical legacy in Michigan transporting people, horses, and freight to Mackinac Island since 1878. Mackinac Island Ferry Company is looking for a highly motivated, detailed orientated individual to join our team as the Group Sales Manager.
The ideal candidate is personable, articulate and an organized team player that has excellent written and oral communications skills. They will be responsible for developing and implementing effective group sales programs including but not limited to motor coach groups, conventions, and social groups.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Approach new and existing accounts with various market segments to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communications
- Effectively maintain relationships with existing and new clients to build rapport and long-term business potential
- Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of the customers experience is complete and documented
- Communicate, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to all participating departments and customers to ensure the highest quality of service to customers
- Maintain working knowledge of attractions and services available in the area
Job Type:
- Full-time
- Year-round
Experience:
- Computer Skills: 2 years (Preferred)
- Customer Service: Minimum of 1 year
- Successful direct selling experience is preferred
- Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Valid State Driver’s License – Required
