Job Description:

These local experts understand the Go Great brand, voice, and tone, and know how to interact with potential, past, and present visitors
on the telephone, in person and through email in a way that’s conversational and natural, thinking outside the box to engage customers in a way that feels authentic and on-point with the Go Great brand. In addition, these virtual concierges also continue to serve in a live concierge capacity, overseeing daily operations of our visitor information center locations, our Go Great Travel Tip Desks, under direction of Administration.

Requirements:

MUST DO
Answering visitor questions and providing real-time service and insider tips
Responds quickly to all visitor inquiries, leaving a positive and lasting Go Great brand impression and offering custom recommendations and travel planning assistance for each visitor
Handles general office duties, including coordination of incoming and outgoing mailings, replenishment of brochure and travel guide
inventory, coding and forwarding of invoices, assessment checks and additional processing items as assigned                                      Prepares, delivers, or schedules pick-up for requested information packets (family reunions, conferences, weddings, etc.)
Assists with Tourism Assessment Profile (TAP)
Assists sales and Administration with requested projects
Manages all Go Great Partner Records in Simpleview CRM, maintaining regular contact with partners to ensure information on GoGreat.com remains as accurate and complete as possible
Serves as a proactive advocate for regional tourism product, constantly and actively researching new attractions, hotel packages, and other offerings
Manages, adds, and updates Go Great events calendar through research, verification and confirmation of existing events and to seek
out new event and add them to the site after verification, confirmation with the event planner
Identify and post hotel deals and packages to populate GoGreat.com
Creates and presents innovative new ideas for Marketing department and entire DMMO                                                                                          Is consistently punctual and present at assigned CVB office location during normal business hours and at front desk to assist with visitor experience
Processes Local Area Reimbursement Program (LARP) applications to verify accuracy
Encourages partners to post their information on the Simpleview extranet
All other duties as assigned

MUST BE

Social media savvy on a range of platforms
Highly self-motivated with a true sense of imagination and eagerness to experiment with bold new visitor concierge approaches
Physically able to set up displays and carry promotional materials/equipment as required

MUST HAVE

An outgoing personality and willingness to be featured as an informal travel tips host in mini live video feeds
A true understanding of the lighthearted, playful feel of the Go Great brand, with ability to translate that voice and tone into meaningful conversation with potential visitors
A solid grasp on Go Great Lakes Bay’s tourism product with intuition to make travel recommendations based on any known information about the customer
Previous social media experience
Previous hospitality marketing experience preferred
