Groups tours will especially enjoy a visit to the small city of Chelsea, just outside Ann Arbor, for a tour of the JIFFY Mix Factory, or for a play at actor Jeff Daniels’ Purple Rose Theatre. Groups with gardening enthusiasts or outdoors-lovers will want to make a stop at the University of Michigan’s Matthaei Botanical Gardens or Nichols Arboretum, for the most fabulous peony gardens in the area and a fascinating year-round conservatory. The neighboring city of Ypsilanti is another great stop for groups, with historical attractions like the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum (in a former Hudson dealership) and the Yankee Air Museum, where WWII planes such as B-17s and C-47s were produced during the war, and still take groups up in the air for flights over the city. And, group tours can’t help but be impressed with the astonishing Michigan Stadium – the largest stadium in North America.
