The Charlevoix Historical Society is the premier provider of coach step on-tours for the “Mushroom Houses” of Earl Young and Downtown Charlevoix. The Charlevoix Historical Society operates a historic house museum, a historic train depot, and the Charlevoix lighthouse.

We are located in the heart of downtown Charlevoix. The organization operates out of the Harsha House Museum, a restored 1892 Victorian home, which also contains an excellent history museum and a small gift shop.

The museum and offices are open Monday –Saturday, 12 – 4. However, couch step-on guides can be scheduled for anytime, 7 days a week

With an experienced and professional step-on guide, coach tour will travel throughout the city and take visitors past the renowned Earl Young “Mushroom Houses”, past the stunning Victorian summer resorts, across the famous drawbridge, and into the heart of the bustling community. The experience can last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours and can be altered for time constraints. The Charlevoix Historical Society provides a guide for this wonderfully historic and entertaining tour for merely $100 per coach.
