Description
Venture in to the Fruitbelt of the Midwest!
Ride the Silver Beach Carousel, with history from the turn of the century; Discover wine, brandy and handcrafted beer. Enjoy a group tasting experience in a round barn; dine at a winery, brewery or distillery along the Makers Trail; feel sun & gentle breezes while touring an orchard as sweet & tart cherries, peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots, pears and apples ripen in season. Enjoy a picnic lunch or dinner in the orchard, view the International Cherry Pit Spit each July. Milk a cow during a tour at a family Dairy Farm. Krasl Art Fair is among the top 10 juried fairs in the country, held against the backdrop of Lake Michigan each July. Hub-and-spoke from St. Joseph with its brick streets, quaint shops and art venues to the expansive Four Winds Casino, kayaking the Paw Paw River, watching a vintage baseball game. Stroll through a botanical garden, hike paths at a nature center or tour a florist's bustling greenhouse in spring. Set sail on Lake Michigan in a tall ship or float down the Black River shaded beneath the boat's striped canopy at the maritime museum. Head for sugar sand beaches for what should be a spectacular watercolor sunset at day's end.
