Laughter, conversation, and more can be heard emanating from inside the palisaded walls. It’s ‘A Colonial Christmas’ at Colonial Michilimackinac, where the traditions of the 17th and 18th century are alive for all to explore.

Lanterns light the path in Michilimackinac where storytellers recount the various traditions of historic residents, a retelling of the first Christmas at Mackinac in 1679, and the church at Ste. Anne’s prepared for Christmas Mass as it would have been in the 18th century. Create crafts to take home and bring the family out on the Parade Ground for historic games. All the while, enjoy delicious holiday snacks located throughout the fort. #thisismackinac

Join us at the Gilmore Car Museum Memorial Day weekend, showcasing classic boats, engines, and vintage RVs! This event welcomes all types, styles, and sizes, with a focus on antique and classic boats (over 25 years old) in wood, metal, and fiberglass. Whether you’re displaying a restored gem, a project boat, or a barn find, we want to see it!

Vintage travel trailer and RV enthusiasts can camp and display their vehicles on the main show fields. Featuring Airstreams, but open to all retro RVs 25+ years old—like Shasta, Serro-Scotty, Winnebago, and more—this rally offers a unique chance to show off your pride and joy. Modern RVs can also camp in a separate area (no electric hookups).

You won't find neon lights, billet wheels or modern megawatt stereos on these relics, just good old fashioned hot rods like they built them in the 1940s, ’50s and early ’60s. This year there will also be a separate show lawn for big finned, chromed 1950’s and 1960’s production cars. Plus, check out live bands at the Friday night pre-party, and more throughout the day on Saturday!

If you're passionate about extreme cars, custom builds, and high-performance machines that push the limits, you’re in the right place.

Pre-register your car online before the day of the show. Save ten bucks. Registration covers you, your car, and a passenger, with access to the entire campus and museums!

This isn’t your average car meet. This is a high-octane showcase of modified cars, where every ride tells a story and nothing is left stock. From JDM legends to modern-day drift monsters, each build is a unique expression of style, speed, and innovation.

Whether it’s lowered to perfection, turbocharged, or wrapped in a wild color-shift vinyl, our community celebrates the art of automotive customization—and the power behind it. Expect to see insane engine swaps that drop big power into unexpected platforms, from 2JZs in classic chassis to V8-swapped imports and rotary madness under the hood.

What to Expect at Our Modified Car Show

Iconic JDM cars (modified or not) like the Nissan GT-R, Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7, and Honda NSX

Low, wide stances with aggressive aero kits and custom bodywork

Turbocharged and supercharged builds made to dominate on the street and track

Insane engine swaps—think RBs in BMWs, LS motors in drift builds, or EV conversions in old-school imports

Restomods blending classic JDM styling with modern performance and tech

Drift-ready builds designed for control, precision, and maximum style

One-of-a-kind wraps, custom paintwork, and jaw-dropping finishes

Garage-born concepts that push the limits of creativity and performance

Diamonds in the Rust is a car show for the overlooked, the unloved, and the unapologetically imperfect. This is where rust buckets, patinaed survivors, forgotten barn finds, and original unrestored vehicles finally get their moment. No trailer queens. No six-figure builds. No mirrors under the chassis.

These are the cars that worked for a living, sat for decades behind barns, or survived purely by luck without ever being “improved.” Patina is earned here. Rust is respected. Wear tells the story.

If your car leaks a little, rattles a lot, or still wears its factory flaws with pride—you’re home. Diamonds in the Rust isn’t about perfection. It’s about authenticity. It’s the anti–car show of car shows.
