Everyone needs times of connection and belonging. The thrill of being part of something bigger than ourselves. The jubilant intersection of creativity, fellowship, and wonder.

Since its inception in 2009, millions of people have visited ArtPrize in Grand Rapids to see thousands of artworks displayed. For eighteen days, art takes over the city. From parks, museums, breweries and public spaces, to installations in the Grand River, art is exhibited in every inch of downtown.

As for the prize in ArtPrize, in 2023, over $400,000 was awarded directly to artists through both popular and juried voting. In addition, over $200,000 was distributed in annual grants to support the ambitious work of eligible participating Artists.
