Welcome to Blu Dot Farm & Vineyard
Uniquely located between the shores of Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan. The Great Lakes vastly influence our terroir, which makes our estate ideal for growing grapes.
At Blu Dot we offer a relaxed setting for you to enjoy sips, snacks and the surrounding farm and vineyard views. We offer wine by the glass, bottle or tasting both indoor and outdoor. Easily accessible by bike from downtown Charlevoix or Bay Harbor.
Blu Dot Farm & Vineyard started as a dream in 2006, and with a whole lot of patience, persistence and planning was brought to fruition in early 2023. We are thankful for our wonderful wine community and friends who continue to lend an ear or helping hand.
The main barn at Blu Dot Farm was built sometime in the late 1800s. The property was originally an asparagus farm extending past the Charlevoix Rod & Gun Club to around See Road. Asparagus can still be spotted growing along the fence line near the bike path. We have been told that Blu Dot Farm was named by the asparagus farmer’s young son who’s first word was Blue. (Is he the original Little Boy Blue?)
