Description
Surrounded by the beauty of two Lake Michigan Bays, bucolic scenery and wineries, your group will step back in time while exploring the restored 1842 Dougherty Mission House where Old Mission Peninsula earned its name. The National Register of Historic Places site’s first house in the region was built by Rev. Dougherty, Chief Agosa, and the Odawa and Ojibwe Tribe. The House has been a Presbyterian Mission, the site where the area’s fruit industry began, an Inn, a family home, and now a museum. Experience the quiet beauty of the Dougherty Mission House.
